Yolda's Story
Yolda, a Grade 8 L2L Tutor, dreams of helping others—whether as a nurse, lawyer, or real estate agent. Her favourite moments as a tutor were seeing her peer’s confidence grow: “At first, he was shy, but as we started reading together, he became more comfortable and improved.” She also loved playing online math games with her peers, discovering new strategies while having fun together.
With a passion for geography, math, and gym, Yolda has developed patience, communication skills, and empathy through L2L, valuable qualities that will guide her in any career.
To future tutors, she says, “When you start tutoring with L2L, it may be challenging, especially when some Peers need more time with you, but be patient. Everyone learns differently, but the most important thing is to have fun and learn!”
